(LĐXH)- The Australian Embassy in Vietnam and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) jointly held the Announcement Ceremony of the Project to promote the participation of logistic businesses with Vocational Education in Vietnam, period 2021-2025 on April 14 in Hanoi.
The 13.8 million AUD project (approximately 246 billion VND), lasting from 2021 to 2025, aims to help Vietnam upskill its workforce – an essential element for Vietnam, to achieve its ambitious goal of becoming a high-income country by 2045.
This support activity focuses on logistics, an industry prioritized for development by Vietnam.
By 2025, this industry is expected to contribute from 8% - 10% of the total national income. This is also an industry in which Australia has a lot of experience.
Australia's support through the Aus4Skills program (the Vietnam - Australia Human Resource Development programme) will focus on cooperation with the General Department of Vocational Education, the MoLISA, VCCI, vocational education institutions and businesses partner.
According to MoLISA Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung, the project will contribute to promoting extensive cooperation between the two governments in the field of vocational education and human resource development./.
