(LĐXH)- Ha Nam province determines that career counseling and orientation plays an important role in helping parents, students, and workers make appropriate career choices.
The Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ha Nam province has just coordinated with the Department of Education and Training and the Provincial Youth Union to organize an Admissions and Job Consulting Festival.
The festival attracted more than 50 vocational education institutions, businesses and employment service centers as well as nearly 1,000 students and workers in the province.
At the event, schools and businesses organized many admission consulting, career guidance, and labour recruitment activities in both face-to-face and online forms.
Ha Nam province currently has 19 vocational education establishments that have trained 20,800 people, reaching 100% of the plan.
More than 95% of students, intermediate and college students have jobs right after graduation with an average income of 6-10 million VND/month.
The rate of trained workers in the whole province reached 74%, of which 58% of trained workers with certificates reached 58%.
Mr. Dang Xuan Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ha Nam said: “Ha Nam province is promoting and investing strongly in vocational education and the subjects of most concern are students. In particular, the project "Career education and student stream orientation in general education period 2018-2025" sets the goal that by 2025, at least 40% of students graduating from secondary school will continue to study at vocational education institutions.
Therefore, early career orientation, building and promoting each individual's capacity right after graduation will help students have many advantages on their future career path”./.
